today is the day

Baby T is on the way.  We've been up since 3am when labor started.  Arrived at OB office at 9am for check, advised to go straight across street to hospital.  Admitted around 9:45am.

40 Weeks

Per our OB's change in due date way back at our first ultrasound, today is Baby T's due date.  However, based on my own ovulation charting, I have estimated April 15, 2012 as a more correct date.  Anyways, we're hoping Baby T decides to enter the world sometime this week.  He's fully cooked now!

Here's the bump...not much change with my weight gain remaining at 15lb.

Yes, we are at zero now.  Hadn't thought about negative numbers...

AND, our crib skirt and curtains arrived today.  Thank goodness we can complete the nursery tonight so it's ALL set before Baby T arrives.  I will post completed pics. once it's done!  I'm so happy with how it's coming together!!!

AND, I bought a too short curtain rod, will eventually change it out, but I had to see the curtains up!!!

39 Weeks!

At my 15lb. weight gain...all baby belly!

38 Weeks!!!

Cruising right along, shouldn't be long now!  I'm still working...crazy, yes.  I worked a 12-hour shift yesterday.  I don't want to cut into my 12-weeks of FMLA time that I get with  Baby T once he's here, so I'm sucking it up!

Feet are now slightly swollen and sleeping is getting more difficult.  I really can't complain though, this pregnancy has been good to me!

Feeling like a BRICK HOUSE

I think I got bigger overnight.  Not even kidding.

AND, since it's 86-degrees...here is my barefoot and pregnant look at 37 weeks, 5 days.

FULL TERM!

We've made it to 37 Weeks...I have to admit, this pregnancy has flown by.  AND, I'm not that huge and uncomfortable.  I am literally ALL baby belly.  No complaints of swelling.  Just starting to have a super sore tailbone and some lovely contractions here and there, nothing to get excited over.

Here are our nursery prints hung, the hubs even got some nesting in this weekend!  The crib will eventually go back on this wall, but for not we opted to leave the most room for our changing table and soon to be arriving rocking chair, hence how the prints aren't actually centered over the dresser.

We are so blessed to have had the support and outpouring of gifts from our family, friends, and co-workers.  John and I each have amazing co-workers who have had showers for each of us.  Words can't describe the appreciation we have for the help we've received.  We have everything we need for Baby T's arrival (and then some :-).   Baby T is a VERY lucky little man!

Baby T was showered this weekend...we are so blessed with great family and friends.  He's a lucky little dude!  Our entryway, post shower.

Until then, we are moving right along....it's getting close :-)

34 Weeks...

The week of breastfeeding class, and just an overall SUPER busy week.  To be followed by a WONDERFUL weekend of friends and family in town for the showering of Baby T :-)  Looking forward to it!

Just received word that our stroller is on backorder until May, big booo, however we're willing to wait.  *Fingers crossed* it comes earlier :-)

26 weeks!!!

Entering third trimester this week.  MUST get working on Baby T's nursery...

Just home from our third, follow up ultrasound.  So happy to report that the placenta previa has resolved itself.  Baby T is still breech with his head near my belly button, he's facing the right.  Weight gain to date: 6-7lb.

Next prenatal appointment on January 18th, including a one-hour glucose tolerance test.

24 Weeks

Loved hitting up baby clothes sales while Christmas shopping...all this for a mere $6.00.  Baby T has his first pair of shoes!

24 weeks, taken after being up for almost 24 hours...object in picture appears larger than normal size :-)

19 Weeks!

We have a Mango!  Baby is now around 6 inches in length and weighing in around 8.5 ounces.  Which means, just a week before we are at the HALFWAY point, whew!  It's amazing to think of this awesome developing little person we have...our little one can now hear, smile/frown, hiccup and even has fingerprints and LOVES to move around in there!

I feel like "me" again!   Morning sickness virtually gone so I can now indulge in my daily cup of coffee!  I only get sick now when I eat too much.  I definitely can't eat like I used to, meals are much smaller.  The dreaded heartburn has kicked in in full gear. Tums are my new best friend.   My craving continues to be spicy Mexican food and pizza.  Weight gain: 2lb.

3 weeks to go until we know if there is a girl or boy in there :-)  It's VERY weird to think of that little one being our daughter or son!  

We've slowly been working on registries, which has been overwhelming since I have absolutely no idea on everything we'll need.  Amazon.com seemed to work the best for us since we can add items from any store to it!  Here is a link...am I missing anything?  Amazon.com Registry  and buybuy Baby Registry

I am sooo grateful for my best friend and sister who have graciously started planning a baby shower for Baby T!  We're planning for February or March in Culpeper, VA.  Plan accordingly, would LOVE to see ya'll there :-) 

19 week bump photo

18 Weeks!

Baby is now the size of a Sweet Potato!  Which means our baby is approximately 5.59 inches in length, weighing approximately 6.7 ounces.  We have movement, or at least what I think is movement from the little jumping bean!

I am feeling better, much more rested and not nearly as sick.  Weight gain at just over 1lb.  Yes, full on maternity clothes are most comfortable now.

Next routine doctors appointment on November 22nd AND our anatomy scan/2nd ultrasound is scheduled for December 5th.  So, we can get down to serious shopping business when we find out if Baby T is a he or a she!!!
